Simchat Torah celebrates the joy and satisfaction of finishing something and……(we never finished that sentence). JOKE! The joy of finishing something and beginning something new. One door closes and another opens. Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.

7 circles, 7 inspired, fiery, leave-it-on-the-court, 2-minute speeches from folks in the community, drums, guitars, music, celebration of all the wisdom we’ve accrued this year, our Torah. We sing, we dance, we roll back the Torah and start it anew. Bring your libation of choice and dance up a storm: it’s holy pandemonium, people.

We’ll be upstairs in the Heller JCC, ASBI downstairs, mixing and mingling between communities encouraged, and after all the dancing is over we’ll join forces and walk to Windy City Sweets for ice cream. We are excited to partner with Lomdim for this event.
