After the Boogie, and some rousing Friday nights throughout January, February’s pretty low-key, continuing our Sex in the Talmud class with Moishe House on Wednesday nights, and some rocking Friday nights coming up. Here’s the deal:

• Mishkan Hits Hyde Park, Feb 8, 6:30 pm

Followed by dinner and drinks, as usual. Suggested donation for dinner, $12, click here.

• 4th Fridays @ AES, Feb 22, 6:30 pm

3751 N. Broadway, Chicago

Followed by a pot-luck. Bring healthy vegetarian food if you can, bring brownies if you must.

Here’s what’s coming up for the end of November and December, 2012 (Kislev, Tevet 5773, in case you were wondering.)

• Friday 12/14 6:30 pm: Mishkan @ Bodhi. 2746 N. Magnolia. Inspired, down-to-earth services that combine both traditional davening/prayer and creative, musical and meditative approaches, followed by dinner and drinks. If you plan to stay for dinner, though, pay up here! $12 per person.

• Saturday 12/15 4:30 pm: Jay Stanton’s Bar Mitzvah @ Brent House in Hyde Park. 5540 S. Woodlawn.

• Monday, 12/24 (Christmas Eve), 6:30 pm. Return of the BAREFOOT BOOGIE. Jews, git down. We’ll begin with festive Jewish kirtan courtesy of A•zam•ra and then kick it into high gear with food, drinks and dancing the rest of the night away. $16 in advance, $20 at the door. Get tickets now and spread the word. Best party in Chicago on Xmas, bar none!

• Friday night, Dec. 28th we’re dark. See you for services January 12. Happy Gregorian new year, people!

It has taken almost the full month of Heshvan to recover from the high of the holidays. Ask anyone… they lived up to the Get Higher title. If you weren’t able to join us this year, just start coming to Shabbat and other stuff, and by next year you’ll be good to go. In the meantime, here’s what you have to look forward to…

4. Friday night August 10th we’ll be at Diversey Harbor for a picnic at 6:15 and services at 7:15. Low-key, relaxed goodness!

5. Friday night, August 24th, we’re on at Anshe Emet- 3751 N. Broadway, 7:30 pm services, followed by a light dinner and drinks. It will be our last Friday night service before High Holidays and it will be off the hook.

6. Rise @ Mishkan. Finally, we’re doing a Saturday morning: September 1, 9:15 am at 722 W. Aldine for a learners-style service, learning new tunes, discussing our way through the Shabbat morning service, including a Torah discussion. Bring pot-luck lunch to share- we’ll bring the challah and kiddush.
