What if it’s still unfolding\, in our dreams\, our imagination\, and the quiet moments of everyday life? \nJoin award-winning author and poet Rodger Kamenetz (The Jew in the Lotus) for a Shavuot learning experience that explores the torah of dreams and the ways sacred encounter can emerge through our inner lives. We’ll begin the evening with a community meal\, then turn to learning. Our Adult BMitzvah Cohort is an opportunity to dive deeper into your Judaism by embracing an important ritual of Jewish adulthood (no matter your age!) Together\, we’ll explore what it means to be a Jew now\, build skills in Torah reading\, and develop our own interpretations of text. \nThe cohort unfolds over three modules: in April\, we explore what it means to become BMitzvah and our own Jewish journeys; in May we will learn trope; and in July we will write own drash (short sermons). We’ll culminate with two Saturday mornings in August\, where we’ll learn the flow of the service and celebrate together as you mark this moment publicly with the Mishkan community.
