DESCRIPTION:Build your community with other new parents of babies (12 months and under)! This four-part series is a chance to sing\, schmooze\, and share oys and joys with other families. Build Your Village will be co-led by Music Specialist Rachel Mylan and Couple and Family Therapist intern Leah Whiteman. We will offer yummy snacks\, but feel to bring your own nut-free favorites. This is a support group sponsored by Maggie’s Place. \nRegister \nLeah Whiteman (she/her) | Build Your Village Co-Facilitator \nLeah was born and raised in New York City and is literally “the nanny” who hailed from Flushing\, Queens. However\, she has spent the last seven years in Chicago and even longer in the Midwest (Go Blue!). Leah is currently a Couple and Family Therapist intern at Amanda Atkins Counseling Group\, completing her Master’s program in Therapy at Adler University. She is also a fully trained Labor and Postpartum Doula and Lactation Educator\, specializing in postpartum mood disorders\, diverse family structures\, and fat birth. Leah is also a fierce aunt of two littles\, an artist (she enjoys making ketubot for her friends)\, a frequent visitor of Foster Beach\, and a lifelong Yiddish Speaker.
