DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Topsy Turvy Purim carnival\, celebrating the holiday where everything was turned upside down and back again. With surprises at every turn\, we’re celebrating with carnival games and activities\, costumes\, and of course\, hamentaschen! Experience the Purim story first-hand and “meet” the characters – Haman (boo!)\, Queen Esther\, Uncle Mordechai\, and more. Step right up to one of our 10 activity stations – maybe you’ll pin the crown on King Achashverosh\, build the Shushan Castle\, or make a stop at Vashti’s Self Care Spa. We’ll also fulfill the mitzvot of Purim by making cards for refugee families and mishloach manot (aka sending gifts). The first hour\, from 10 – 11 am\, is for ages 5 and under or those benefiting from a sensory-friendly experience; the second hour from 11am – noon is for ages 6 – 11. Tickets are $20/family and half off for Builders. \nThis event is at capacity.

SUMMARY:Rise & Shine
DESCRIPTION:Stories\, songs and celebrating Shabbat for 0-4 year olds and their grown ups. We will meet indoors at JCYS. Proof of full vaccination for those over the age of 5. Family Music Specialist Rachel Mylan and Rachel Cohn will lead the joyous Shabbat activities\, followed by family kiddush. Proof of full vaccination for those over the age of 5. Full vaccination means the full initial series plus booster shot for anyone who is eligible for the booster. In addition\, we ask in-person participants (those over age 2) to wear KN94\, KF94 or N95 masks\, or double masks (one cloth and one surgical mask or two cloth masks). We will have extra masks on-site for those in need. Public parking is available on the street.

SUMMARY:Toddler Cruise & Schmooze
DESCRIPTION:Share the wonders of toddler life with tots 14 – 36 months and their grownups! We will sing\, dance\, and celebrate Shabbat together with toddler-friendly activities and snacks. Grownups will have a chance to connect with each other and schmooze. Weather permitting\, we will meet outdoors at the playground (Vogel park) next door to JCYS. You will have access to bathrooms and quiet space inside at JCYS. A weather call will be made by 3 pm on Friday if we will move indoors. For going indoors\, proof of full vaccination for those over the age of 5. Full vaccination means the full initial series plus booster shot for anyone who is eligible for the booster. DESCRIPTION:Our signature Shabbat morning experience – music\, prayer\, reflection\, Torah reading and learning\, followed by a light kiddush lunch. \nJunior Davening Team Rehearsal from 11am – noon –A musical exploration\, drop off class\, for elementary aged children. (This would be a great class for kids who are ready to dive into Mishkan’s prayers in a new way.) \nRise and Shine\, from 11:15 – noon\, an upbeat\, playful Shabbat prayer experience for kids and their grown-ups. Open your heart with singing and dancing (sort of like greatest hits from our signature Shabbat service). \nFree babysitting is available from 9:30 – 11 am. \nNote! We are at JCYS at 2112 W Lawrence Ave.
