DESCRIPTION:On Shavuot\, we celebrate revelation and the moment we received Torah at Sinai. But what if revelation isn’t only something that happened once\, long ago? What if it’s still unfolding\, in our dreams\, our imagination\, and the quiet moments of everyday life? \nJoin award-winning author and poet Rodger Kamenetz (The Jew in the Lotus) for a Shavuot learning experience that explores the torah of dreams and the ways sacred encounter can emerge through our inner lives. We’ll begin the evening with a community meal\, then turn to learning. Drawing on Jewish text\, especially the dream-filled stories of Genesis\, alongside his own work on imagination and spiritual practice\, Rodger will explore how Judaism gives us the tools to learn from our deepest feelings rather than bouncing from reaction to reaction in an a disorienting world. \nWe’re at capacity for in-person learning\, but we’d love it if you would join us virtually for the learning session starting at 7:00 PM.
