DESCRIPTION:We can’t control the weather\, but we can control the vibes! Don’t miss tonight’s extra-special\, action-packed\, song-filled Friday Night Shabbat — it’s going to be fire. \nTonight\, we are relocating to Mishkan HQ (4001 N Ravenswood Ave #101) for our service at 6:30 pm. Even if it is not raining right as the service starts\, rain is forecasted during our set-up and we will not be able to lay out blankets on the grass. So\, we invite you to pray along with us for good weather on Pride Shabbat at our cozy\, intimate office Shabbat tonight. You can also watch the livestream of tonight’s service on our YouTube channel. \nIf you are in your 20s or 30s\, join us before services at 5:00 pm for our 20s/30s Happy Hour at Begyle Brewing. We’ll have snacks\, games\, and drinks a-plenty. This is the perfect time to make a new friend or two for Chicago beach days. \nMishkan’s New Arrivals Support Team is holding a Food & Supplies Drive for our migrant neighbors! You can drop off supplies before services any time after 5:45 pm. We are looking for: 2lb bags of oatmeal\, 64oz bottles of cooking oil (or smaller)\, chicken noodle soup 10.5 oz (with pop tabs preferred)\, brand new women’s and men’s underwear (sizes small and medium most requested)\, and wet cat food. \nThis service\, we are also holding a KBM Siyyum for our 7th Graders in celebration of completing our year of study! This final KBM session will be held upstairs. \nStick around after services for snacks & wine. There will be supplies for folks to make their own signs for the No Kings Rally tomorrow\, Saturday\, June 14th. We invite you to join Rabbi Lizzi and Rabbi Steven for a Pre-Protest Singing & Prayer gathering before the march at 10:30 am in Daley Plaza in honor of Shabbat and the fight for a Pharaoh-free world — we plan to post up at the corner of Clark and Washington near the benches. \nWatch the livestream of tonight’s service on our YouTube channel.

DESCRIPTION:On the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah it’s an ancient (or at least pretty old) custom to sing and listen to music of the season. Think of it like a spiritual warm up with a picnic blanket\, your favorite beverage\, and havdalah.
