DESCRIPTION:In commemoration of Yom HaShoah\, Mishkan invites you to attend a performance of Concentration\, an adaptation of a book by Chicago poet Arne Weingart written as a dramatic monologue from inside a World War II death camp. Fifty short\, spare poems\, voiced by four actors and accompanied by live musical interludes and striking visual effects serve as a journal of an imagined response to real\, unthinkable events. \nJoin us after the show on Saturday\, April 11\, for a discussion about Holocaust memory and memorialization facilitated by Rabbi Steven Philp\, featuring Concentration director and Mishkan’s Director of Livestream Anna Gelman and poet/playwright Arne Weingart.
