Social Justice at Mishkan
Tikkun, or healing and repairing what’s broken, is one of the core values at Mishkan. Channeling the energy we create in our services and leaning into social activism is important now more than ever. Here are some ways to get involved.
- JCUA The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs – combating poverty, racism and anti-Semitism in partnership with diverse communities.
- ONE Northside Organizing Neighborhoods for Equality: Northside – is a mixed-income, multi-ethnic, intergenerational organization that unites diverse communities, building collective power to eliminate injustice through bold and innovative community organizing.
- HIAS Chicago Refugee Welcome Team – HIAS stands for a world in which refugees find welcome, safety, and freedom and rescues people whose lives are in danger for being who they are.
- LPCS Lincoln Park Community Services – a comprehensive social service agency serving adult men and women who are experiencing homelessness
