Join the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, Mishkan Chicago, Repair the World, and Silverstein Base Hillel to explore “The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration,” by Isabel Wilkenson. Delicious and hearty snacks will be served.

We’ll be discussing the sections of the book that follow the story of Ida Mae Brandon Gladney, who migrated from Mississippi to Chicago, so focus on those sections. Of course, you’re welcome to read the whole book if you choose.
