Interested in writing a short story or novel but don’t quite know where to start? Midrash is the rabbinic method of filling gaps in our received texts. Why did Eve eat the apple? What was Abraham up to before leaving home? How did Moses feel before splitting the sea? In this creative writing workshop, we will survey famous midrashim — and then write our own! This class is led by Rebecca Stevens and Rabbi Steven (both of whom hold creative writing degrees!) and is open to all, no prior knowledge necessary.

We will meet for three sessions: April 23rd, April 30th, and May 7th.
