Along with sister communities THE Kitchen (San Francisco) and Kavana Cooperative (Seattle), Mishkan is heading to Israel to connect with activists, artists, scholars, rabbis and communities who are creating a society as diverse, spiritual, equal and just as Israel’s founders imagined it could be. The trip, JUNE 24 – JULY 5, will involve daily spiritual practice with the rabbis of Mishkan, the Kitchen and Kavana, daily learning and reflecting, and an effort to dig deep to think holistically about the past, present and future of Israel and Palestine, bending the usual binaries and maybe even changing us in ways previously thought unimaginable.
