Get ready to fry, bake, and celebrate! Join us at Schoolhouse Kitchen in Wicker Park for a Hanukkah cooking adventure designed for K–5 families. Together, we’ll make (and taste!) classic holiday favorites like latkes, applesauce, and sufganiyot (donuts). Between batches, we’ll play games, craft Hanukkah-themed creations, and sing a few songs to get in the holiday spirit.

Director of Mensch Academy Nathan Kaplin and R’Lizzi will lead children in grades K-2 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM, and kids grades 3-5 can join Nathan and R’Julie from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Choose the session that’s best for you and your family; siblings are welcome to join either group. Children under 5 are welcome to attend, but will not be able to participate in the cooking projects.
