How are Chicagoans utilizing principles of nonviolence to reduce shootings, transform relationships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve, and heal their communities? Join Mishkanites at the Institute for Nonviolence’s community center in the Austin neighborhood to learn from their staff and volunteers about the impact of their work and how they’re reducing gun violence in the neighborhoods of Austin and West Garfield Park.
This is the final event in our Mitzvah Makers family volunteering and community service series, and adults and children are welcome to join us! Young children will be working on a service project while adults and older children and teens hear from staff about the Institute’s work. Please RSVP – we’ve got limited space.
