This is an opportunity for men and people who identify as male to explore what their male identity means to them. What does it mean to “be a man” in the 21st century? What does it mean to be Jewish and male identifying in the 21st century? Are there responsibilities that come with that? Privileges? Things that we should be responsibly aware of or that should change in a post-modern society? Where do the myths come from about male identity and do we even agree with those anymore or are they outdated? This is our subject to embrace and interrogate, and we will in the contexts of Jewish holidays, stories, texts, and values. We will be exploring these questions as they relate to the celebration of Purim (happening in March!). Come learn with us to prepare yourself for an even more meaningful holiday experience!
