Moving Traditions is a monthly teen support group, bringing together small, single-gender groups where teens can speak freely about relationships, gender, stress, school, and anything else that’s on their mind—while having a good time and making great friends. Parents and kids can join this virtual kick-off for a sample session to see what it’s all about. Rosh Hodesh for girls, Shevet for boys, and Tzelem for trans and nonbinary teens are groups of 7-10 teens and a trained adult leader, who together explore the challenges and joys of teens’ lives, drawing on social emotional learning, an understanding of teen culture, and Jewish wisdom and values. We are launching two groups: one for 7th and 8th grade boys and one for 8th and 9th grade girls. If you are a nonbinary teen (or a parent of a non binary teen) and are interested, please contact Rabbi Deena!
