No Kings Rally: Pre-Protest Singing and Prayer

March 28 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm CDT

March 28 might have the largest nonviolent protest planned in American history, but it’s also Shabbes! So if you’re a Jew looking to show up at the rally, and you’d also love to recognize and celebrate Shabbat, we’ll be gathering at the Southeast Corner of Monroe and Columbus (look for the red pomegranate) to get spiritually uplifted and connected before the rally with Jewish songs, prayers, and divrei hafgana (protest sermonettes!) We invite you to join us early at 11:30 AM for singing and prayer in honor of Shabbat and the fight for a Pharaoh-free world!

Bring your voice, your signs, your timbrels, and your tallis! Bring some challah and some grape juice — or anything that you’d like to share to make this feel a little more shabbes’y — before the rally begins at 1:30 PM.

No Kings is being organized by Indivisible Chicago and Hands Off Chicago. The march will begin at Butler Field in Grant Park (East Jackson Drive & South Columbus Drive) and run from 1:30 – 4:30 PM. More information is available here.

Fill out this form to let us know you’ll be there and so that we can get ahold of you if our meeting location changes.
