Summer Solstice Through A Jewish Lens

06/12/2023 @ 6:15 pm - 8:45 pm CDT

Co-sponsored by Mishkan: “ALTAR is excited to welcome a special community event inspired by Rosh Chodesh, the Jewish ritual honoring of the New Moon. We will come together to celebrate the summer solstice and welcome the energy of summertime based on the Hebrew calendar. Together in community, we will learn, storytell, sing, and spend time in personal reflection in small groups. This night is showcasing At The Well, a nonprofit organization that enhances women’s well-being through ancient Jewish rituals. At The Well creates content based on the Hebrew calendar at the intersection of Jewish wisdom, wellness, and mysticism. They teach and encourage women to practice the monthly ritual of gathering around the New Moon, Rosh Chodesh, and believe it is the well-being practice needed for our modern world. They coach and provide resources for creating intentional, transformative, authentic spaces for women to connect to themselves and each other. This gathering will be an interactive, open-hearted communal experience with opportunities for sharing, self-reflection, and embodied practice.”
