The Z Word: Zionism(s), Israel and What It All Means to Us

03/22/2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT

Join us as we explore together some of the many ways that Jews have related to Israel and Zion over the last 100+ years, from Pre-Zionism to Post-Zionism to everything in between, including: Socialist Zionism, Religious Zionism, Buberian Zionism, anti-Zionism and more – using these different lenses to explore our own relationships with Zion and Israel. We hope to build a safe and constructive learning space – with no expectations or prerequisites, except for an open mind and heart. This class is Led by Elliot Vaisrub Glassenberg and open to learners of all backgrounds and political perspectives. Co-organized by Mishkan Chicago, BINA: The Jewish Movement for Social Change and Habonim Dror Olami. Free for builders, $30 total for the general public. Email Rachel Gray for the code.
