Public Transportation
The Copernicus Center is easily accessible by public transportation. The Blue Line, METRA (Union Pacific/Northwest Line), CTA Bus routes, and PACE all stop at the Jefferson Park Transit Center. The Lawrence Avenue bus #81 stops in front of the building.
Valet Parking
The valet entrance is the Copernicus Parking Lot on Lipps Avenue. If you have already purchased your parking the valet will have a list of pre-paid names. There are a limited number of “drive up” valet spots available on a first come, first serve basis. Payment will be collected directly by the valet service.
- Tuesday September 23rd: 8:30am – 3:30 pm (Rosh Hashanah)
- Thursday October 2nd: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (Yom Kippur Day). For those staying through Ne’ilah, you may move your car into the lot or use street parking after these times.
- Note that valet service will not be available for Kol Nidre.
Car drop-off is at the Copernicus Center and the valet lot is located off-site at 4830 N Lipps Ave.
Additional Parking
- An hourly, open-air lot is located at 4963 N Milwaukee by the Jefferson Park Blue Line and Metra Stations.
- A parking garage is located in Veteran’s Square (N Lipps Ave, Chicago, IL 60630). Please note this garage closes by 7:30pm each evening.
- Street parking is available, both free and metered, in the area. Please note that street parking is more limited during the day, and we encourage you to valet park or take public transit.
