Jourdan Lewanda (she/her) is Mishkan’s Rabbinic and Ritual Assistant, taking on an expanded role after two great years working with Mishkan’s programs team. Though you may have seen Jourdan working a Shabbat service or community event, you may not know that she’s also helped revamp the slides and lower thirds for Mishkan’s High Holidays, built a hefty percentage of the furniture in past Mishkan office spaces, or that she is also working as an actor and visual artist in Chicago and beyond! If you are curious, one of Jourdan’s artist books was exhibited at the Book Arts Center in Minneapolis and is now a part of Indiana University’s collections. You can find this part of her life on instagram at @jourdanlewandacollages. As a performer, she will be in the wings at the Goodman Theatre this fall understudying A Christmas Carol.
