Exploring Judaism: A Path to Conversion
Whether you have been considering conversion for years or are just dipping your toe in, come learn with us.
This class is an opportunity to explore how you want to live as a Jew for people who did not grow up practicing or identifying with Judaism – whether you’re studying to convert or looking to bring Judaism into your multi-faith home. We’ll study some foundational Jewish texts (Torah, Talmud, Jewish philosophy, and more), experience the rhythms of the Jewish calendar and holidays, and we’ll reflect on what it means to live Jewishly in the 21st century.
This is a class for people on the path toward Judaism, with no commitment to convert. The class will meet on Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm on Zoom for 25 total sessions.
Participants commit to:
Learning with curiosity and open mindedness.
Sharing space, opinions, beliefs, and questions.
Respecting others’ perspectives, boundaries, and beliefs.
Acting kindly, creating physical and emotional safety.
Being generous and giving the benefit of the doubt, as everyone is coming with different levels of familiarity, comfort, and context to this Jewish space.
