Mishkan, the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs & AVODAH team up to bring Chicago the second all-levels, open-to-everybody Social Justice Bet Midrash. In this space, we will examine Jewish sources on current social issues, facilitating deep thinking, constructive debate and greater facility with Jewish text. Many of us are revisiting and asking for the first time what it means to resist. In these 2 sessions we’ll explore some unexpected harder-to-find traditional Jewish sources on protest. Come to one or both sessions- no prior experience necessary! The class is 100% free, but registration is required.
