Leora Mincer (she/her) loves working with Mishkan teens to help them develop a sense of agency over their Jewish life. She grew up in New York and earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She has taught in various religious schools in both New York and Chicago, helping to develop curricula that center young people and feel relevant to their lives. She worked as a youth employment specialist at JCFS Chicago, where she also discovered her passion for labor organizing. She has also organized with ONE Northside & JCUA on various campaigns aimed at making Chicago a more just and equitable city. She is currently completing a Master’s in the Teaching of History at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
